Our History

The Vision & Early Days

Hidden Treasures Galleria started out life as a dream. This dream was for a local community store to offer things like thrift items, local artwork, a space to redesign furniture, and more.  We also had a vision to help out the local community in ways such as food and needs pantry, fundraising, and giving local artists a venue to hock their wares. Thus was Hidden Treasures Galleria born.

We brought in a small variety of bait and tackle at our old location due to our proximity to the beach and the lack of tackle shops nearby. After nearly 2 years in Willoughby, we moved down the beach to the Ocean View Shopping Center. Covid struck just a couple of months later and we put our focus onto bait and tackle. With this forced refocusing we moved a lot of the items that we had from the Galleria into storage nearby so that we could expand the bait and tackle selections.  After this, we re-branded that location to Hidden Treasures Bait & Tackle

The Next Steps

The next steps

So, what about now?

HTBT is still in that location and we spent the next 2 years looking for the perfect location to return to our roots of the Galleria. We found an awesome building to open near to our warehouse. Our newest location is amazing. over 6000 sq feet of storage to display items, take in donations, and even a dedicated room for community outreach supplies and contact info. We hope to expand that to having a message board for people who might be in need or have something to offer.

Another thing that came with the new building was a recording studio. We are using the recording studio to to work with local artists and churches to produce quality albums, songs, remastering live performances, and possibly even getting into the podcasting world.

A year later, we partnered with Unclaimed Freight and moved the Galleria to it's new location in Virginia Beach. We haven't been here a year yet (as of this posting) and have seen so much growth. VB has welcomed us with open arms and we have been able to help so many people. We also took inspiration from the old store and created a new studio.
